NIS has a strong project management ethos and can demonstrate many years of experience in the effective management of complex engineering projects.
Our Project Management processes are structured to achieve the three main objectives of Time, Cost and Quality control however the procedures, and company culture, is to ensure that there is a partnership between ourselves, our clients and our suppliers, which is key to the success of all our projects.
The project team includes but is not limited to Project Managers, Project Engineers, planning, client representatives, suppliers, quality, safety, environmental, security and accounts service functions. Our Project Managers are trained to the requirements of membership to the Association of Project Managers to which NIS has corporate membership. We have the knowledge and the experience to take on a broad range of multi-disciplined projects.
APM Members are skilled and experienced professionals recognised in the UK and throughout the world via International Project Management Association (IPMA); (APM is the UK member of the IPMA.)
Computer based systems are used in project controls these include;
- Microsoft Project
- Oracle/Strategix accounting system
- Risk Modelling software
- Earned Value Analysis, Project Reports, Resource, and Financial models etc
- Microsoft word for narrative reports
For each project NIS provides a dedicated project manager who is responsible to the customer for managing the project within quality, time, and cost targets. The Project Manager is the central point of communication between the NIS project team and the customer, providing clarity and transparency as the projects progress.
