NIS capability on show at Scotland's largest nuclear technology event
For the tenth year running Dounreay was host to a one day trade exhibition for the nuclear clean-up sector, and NIS returned to the show as experts in the field, demonstrating over 27 years' experience in the industry.
This year's Technology and Innovation Exhibition was staged next to the former fast reactor research site, and was organised by Nu-Tech Associates in collaboration with Dounreay Site Restoration Limited.
More than 40 companies exhibited in the main marquee, representing a wide range of suppliers from across the UK nuclear industry. Dounreay News spoke to Phil Monks, NIS Business Development Manager at the event, who gave an account of the company's core business, designing and manufacturing bespoke equipment for nuclear applications, which makes up to 70% of NIS' operations. NIS featured in the June issue of the Dounreay newsletter as well as on the Dounreay website.
