NIS become Associate Members of National Skills Academy

NIS Ltd is delighted to announce that they are now Associate Members of the National Skills Academy for Nuclear. The Skills Academy is a crucial development in ensuring that the nuclear industry has the skilled and suitably trained workforce that it needs to meet the future challenges and growth across the sector.

Managing Director Richard Penrose formally received the membership certificate from National Skills Academy Chief Executive Jean Llewellyn, at a high profile reception in the House of Lords on October 20th.

The event, hosted by Honorary President, Lord Jenkin of Roding, was attended by many leading industry figures and provided an insight into how the Academy and its partners are working strategically to develop and nurture the UKs nuclear talent.

Speaking on his return from London Richard said "I view NIS Ltds membership of the National Skills Academy for Nuclear as an extremely positive step on our journey to achieving world class status as a supplier of choice to the nuclear sector. We are already benefiting from our membership in terms of funding support from the academy's Community Apprenticeship scheme for our two new apprentices, who are a key part of our future success"
