Cards cash put to better use

Instead of sending the usual corporate Christmas cards to their large client base, the company decided to put the time and money to better use by helping out these worthwhile causes.

NIS Managing Director Richard Penrose explained “At NIS and NSG we take both our environmental and Socio Economic commitments extremely seriously, and as we now have a permanent home in West Cumbria we wanted to ensure that the local community benefited from our presence. The majority of the cards that we send would probably just end up being discarded so we decided to do something that would leave a lasting impression. The £250 donation to West Cumbria Hospice at Home compliments the donation we made to Derian House, a children’s Hospice located just minutes away from our Headquarters in Chorley, and the painting day was not only extremely beneficial to the school but also gave our team an enjoyable opportunity to work with different colleagues from across the company”.
