This news follows on from a fantastic 12 months for Richard who was recently awarded STEMnet “STEM ambassador of the year 2015” for his dedication to the STEM programme. Over the last year Richard has completed over 79 STEM activities ranging from primary school to further education colleges. With the support of NIS Richard has been able to bring students into the NIS working environment to gain experience of the challenges faced within engineering and the fantastic opportunities available within our industry.
We will find out if Richard has been successful at the Nuclear Skills Awards ceremony being held on Thursday 10th March 2016 at the Mercure Hotel, Manchester. Once again NIS will be sponsoring the photo booth at the ceremony which is organised by The National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) and Cogent SSC aims to recognise and celebrate exceptional people employed in the nuclear sector.
NIS wishes all finalists the best of luck!
